Golf Course Maintenance Operator
Southern Hills Plantation Club is seeking an experienced Golf Course Maintenance Operator to join our agronomy team. This position is responsible for operating specialized turf maintenance equipment and helping maintain championship-level playing conditions throughout the golf course.
The ideal candidate has prior golf course maintenance experience, understands proper equipment operation, and takes pride in producing exceptional course conditions.
Position Details
Full-Time
$17–$19 per hour, based on experience
Minimum of one year of golf course equipment operation experience required
Essential Responsibilities
Operate specialized golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and other turf equipment
Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas as assigned
Assist with bunker maintenance, course setup, and detail work
Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
Assist with irrigation repairs and water management programs
Follow agronomic practices established by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Support tournament preparation and special course projects
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and to club standards
Qualifications
Minimum one year of golf course maintenance equipment operation experience required
Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices preferred
Ability to safely operate and maintain turf equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
