The Landings Golf & Athletic Club — Deer Creek Course
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of golf course equipment maintenance and repair while working alongside experienced turf and equipment professionals at the Deer Creek Course.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who is open to learning and takes pride in their work. A background in golf course equipment, small engine repair, or related mechanical experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right individual.
The Landings Golf & Athletic Club supplies all tools and equipment needed to perform the job successfully.

Initial Priorities Of Position
Execute assigned tasks under the direction of the Head Mechanic
Learn and implement club equipment maintenance standards
Develop technical knowledge of golf course equipment and maintenance procedures
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform preventative maintenance on golf course equipment
Complete oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and routine service work
Assist with small engine repair and diagnostics
Perform reel maintenance, sharpening, adjustments, and setup
Inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Report equipment issues promptly and accurately
Work Execution & Quality
Maintain strong attention to detail and ownership of job outcomes
Follow all club procedures and maintenance standards
Assist with maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
Daily Reporting & Communication
Participate in daily check-ins with the Head Mechanic
Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and parts inventory proactively
Operational Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, tools, and equipment
Assist with equipment setup and preparation for daily operations
Safety & Professionalism
Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
Operate equipment safely and responsibly
Represent the club professionally at all times
Preferred Qualifications
No minimum experience required — training provided
Background in golf course maintenance, small engine repair, automotive, landscaping, agriculture, or related mechanical field preferred
Interest in golf course equipment and mechanical systems
Tournament golf experience or knowledge of golf course operations is a plus
Valid driver’s license required
Education (Preferred)
High School Diploma, Certificate, Associate’s Degree, or related technical training
