A Golf Course Maintenance & Grounds Crew Member maintains the aesthetic and functional quality of a golf course. Key duties include mowing greens, tees, and fairways; raking bunkers; trimming around hazards; operating machinery; and assisting with irrigation repairs. This is a physically demanding, early-morning job, often requiring work in varied weather conditions.
This position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent / Director.
Key Responsibilities
· Turf Maintenance: Mowing greens, fairways, tees, and rough; cleaning up clippings; and aerating, seeding, or laying sod.
· Course Conditioning: Raking sand bunkers, filling divots on tees and fairways, repairing ball marks on greens, and cleaning ball washers.
· Equipment Operation: Safely operating motorized equipment such as triplex mowers, fly mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
· Landscaping: Trimming trees, pruning shrubs, weeding flower beds, and removing debris throughout the course.
· Irrigation and Repairs: Assisting with the installation, repair, and monitoring of irrigation systems, pipes, and sprinklers.
· Maintenance: Cleaning and storing equipment properly and reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
· Other duties as assigned
