The USGA's Championship Administration Team is a collaborative group of eight that oversees the in-house administration and planning details that support the successful execution of 15 National Championships. We are the beginning of the player journey - managing the Championship entry platform and a high volume of player inquiries through our commitment to excellent customer service. The team operates across four key pillars, each held to a high standard of execution: customer service, exemptions and exemption events, Championship equipment, and IT. A primary function within Championship Administration is working collaboratively with 55 Allied Golf Associations to conduct approximately 650 USGA Qualifiers each year. We work in close partnership with our Championships Department to support the Championship experience for all. We are looking for a teammate with an interest or background in golf administration and a strong attention to detail to join our team. About this role: The USGA's Championship Administration team is responsible for the in-house preparation and administration of USGA championships, including entries, exemptions, qualifying, customer service and equipment. The Assistant Manager, Championship Administration will have primary oversight of the following: Fulfillment of departmental customer service objectivesSuccessful administration of the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball ChampionshipAGA qualifying site submission and qualifying reimbursementsAdministration of the Executive Committee Ambassador ProgramGolden ticket ordering and execution for those advancing to USGA ChampionshipsVerification of Amateur Status for USGA qualifying and Championship applicantsWhat you’ll do: Management of the department's customer service objectives: Responsible for ensuring all phone calls and email inquiries to Championship Administration team are answered in a timely and professional manner, ideally within one business day, by the customer service team.Oversight of Zendesk platform and tracking departmental metrics for continuous team improvement. Provide support in the execution of the Performance Policy for USGAQualifying, specifically in contributing to player inquiries and submissions.In-house administration of the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship: Annual qualifying site and exemption review, application and exemption preparation, monitoring applications during the entry window, entry opening and closing, correspondence to players, officials, and Allied Golf Associations, allocation of places, alternate process, and Championship pairings.Manage the process for Qualifying Site Submission & AGA Reimbursement: Distribute annual qualifying site asks to AGA'sVerify information and update the qualifying site database as qualifying sites are submittedDistribute confirmation notices to AGA's and host clubsPrepare reports and coordinate reimbursements to AGA's for conducting qualifyingAdminister the Executive Committee Ambassador Program: Provide support for the USGA Executive Committee when traveling to Championships and representing the USGA.Organize opportunities for the Executive Committee to engage with key stakeholders on-site at Championships by providing organized schedules, sharing key preparational resources, and coordinating pre-Championship calls to ensure alignment and clarity.Oversight of golden ticket production and execution, for those players advancing to USGA Championships. Responsible for distribution of golden tickets to AGA's and exempt players and electronic distribution of golden tickets and alternate notifications for all championships. Verification of Amateur, Professional, or Amateur for Reinstatement status for all championship entry applications. Other duties as assigned, including serving in an on-site capacity at up to two championships per season and supporting the Championship Administration team with special projects as needed. Where you'll be: This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are required to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office community days. Employees can choose between Monday or Thursday as their third in-office day. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
