Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Palm Beach County, Florida | Full-Time About the Opportunity Pin Placements is recruiting for Assistant Golf Course Superintendent opportunities throughout Palm Beach County and Southeast Florida. Opportunities may be a fit for established Assistant Superintendents as well as AITs, Spray Technicians, Irrigation Technicians, Crew Leaders, and other experienced turf professionals ready for increased responsibility. The Role Assistant Superintendents work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and agronomy leadership team to execute the daily maintenance and conditioning of the golf course. Responsibilities may include: Coordinating daily golf course maintenance and course setupMonitoring turf health, moisture, disease, weeds, insects, and overall playing conditionsAssisting with fertilizer and plant-protectant applicationsManaging irrigation schedules, troubleshooting, and repairsSupporting aerification, topdressing, verticutting, and other cultural practicesAssigning work and providing direction to maintenance team membersTraining employees on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and safetyAssisting with golf course renovation and improvement projectsMaintaining application, maintenance, inventory, and agronomic recordsWorking closely with the Superintendent to execute the property's agronomic planTaking increased leadership responsibility as experience developsWho We're Looking For We are interested in candidates with experience in golf course maintenance, turfgrass management, agronomy, or related fields who want to continue developing their careers. Strong candidates may currently be working as an: Assistant Golf Course SuperintendentSecond Assistant SuperintendentAssistant-in-Training (AIT)Spray TechnicianIrrigation TechnicianCrew LeaderSenior Golf Course Maintenance TechnicianA degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Golf Course Management, or a related field is preferred but not required for every opportunity. Experience with warm-season turfgrass, irrigation and water management, pesticide and fertilizer applications, crew leadership, and Florida growing conditions is particularly valuable.
