Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, Florida is seeking a qualified Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a 27-hole golf course that is committed to continued progress.  Recent improvements include a new Rainbird irrigation system in 2025, new cart paths, bunker renovations, and overall turf improvements. The Assistant Superintendent will work alongside the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure quality course conditions are provided daily.  Duties include (but not limited to) irrigation management, leadership of a tenured golf course maintenance staff, fertilizer and chemical applications, assist with projects, operating turf equipment to perform tasks as needed. Myakka Pines is committed to helping the Assistant Superintendent grow in their career. - Two- or Four-year turf degree or related field preferred. - 3-5 years of prior golf course maintenance experience (warm season turfgrass management helpful). - Strong leadership and communication skills. - Well organized with an attention to detail. - Florida Pesticide License (or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment). - Understanding of irrigation and the importance of water management. - Commitment to golf course progress and personal growth. - Valid drivers license.
