The Bartender role at Seven Summits Lodge is a part-time position offering a competitive wage of $17.13 per hour plus tips. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a vibrant and scenic resort setting. The position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and emphasizes creating a welcoming atmosphere, providing knowledgeable and enthusiastic service, and maintaining the highest standards in beverage preparation and food service. Bartenders are expected to engage guests warmly, recommend beverages confidently, and ensure compliance with legal age requirements for alcohol consumption.
In addition to typical bartending duties, the role encompasses tasks such as managing inventory, handling cash and card transactions, assisting with food and beverage functions including corporate events and weddings, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The bartender is also encouraged to participate in educational seminars to stay current with industry trends and best practices. High school diploma preferred
One year experience bartending, in a resort facility preferred
Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol
Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
must be able to calculate discounts, and percentages
Ability to contribute to a productive and friendly work environment by maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to speak effectively and present information to another person and in small group situations with guests and team members
Ability to provide direction to coworkers in a professional and friendly manner
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums
Must be able to pay attention to details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
