The role of Director of Food and Beverage at River Oaks Golf Club is a pivotal leadership position integral to the club’s operational success. This full-time leadership position entails overseeing all activities within the Food and Beverage Department, encompassing daily service operations, strategic event management, administrative responsibilities, and staff supervision. The Director will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, front-of-house service, bar operations, and to-go service, ensuring that every aspect meets the club’s high standards.
A critical component of the role involves coordinating and executing event operations for both club-hosted and private events. This requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver seamless and memorable experiences. Administrative duties include meticulous record keeping, reporting, and managing member ticketing systems to maintain smooth operational flow. The Director is also charged with employee management responsibilities such as hiring, training, scheduling, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
Collaboration is paramount, as the Director will work closely with other department heads to steer the club towards its overarching operational goals, including member retention and satisfaction. The role also involves being part of the club’s social media team, actively promoting club events and private functions, thereby enhancing member engagement and driving event bookings.
Strong financial oversight is another key element, with responsibilities including inventory management and cost control measures to ensure fiscal accountability and efficiency. Minimum of five years experience working in club environments with at least three years in management roles

Experience in staff training and development
Willingness and ability to learn club-specific POS and operational software
