About the Role
## Golf Pro Shop Attendant/Assistant – $15/hour
We're looking for a part-time Golf Pro Shop Attendant/Assistant to join our team at Freedom Fairways. Weekends are required for this position, and you'll report directly to the Director of Golf and Hospitality.
## Your Role
Your mission is straightforward: serve the needs of residents, visitors, and staff by offering information and assistance in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. You'll be the welcoming face of our pro shop, greeting members, guests, and the general public with a warm, cheerful, and professional demeanor. Personal appearance matters—we expect you to dress appropriately and maintain a neat appearance at all times.
Day-to-day, you'll answer telephones and handle tee time reservations for both golf and pickleball. You're responsible for maintaining all required daily reports, including counting cash receipts, recording counts accurately, and turning receipts over to the Freedom Plaza Accounting Department. You'll also complete the Golf Revenue Daily Work Sheet to ensure our financial records stay on track.
Keeping the pro shop clean and organized is part of your daily responsibilities. This includes dusting, wiping counters, vacuuming carpet, and ensuring trash is taken to the proper disposal area. Beyond these tasks, you'll support our company's Safety Program by practicing good safety habits and reporting any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
## What We're Looking For
You'll need either a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of experience in golf operations. Mathematical skills are essential—you should be comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers, and you must be able to make correct change on monetary transactions.
Above all, hospitality is at the heart of what we do. We fully embrace a culture of hospitality, and we're looking for someone who shares our values. This means greeting residents, employees, and guests warmly and by name with a genuine smile. You'll treat everyone with courteous respect, anticipate their needs, and act accordingly. We value listening and responding enthusiastically and in a timely manner. You'll hold yourself and others accountable, embrace and value our differences, and make every resident, employee, and guest feel important. Always ask, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" Maintain high levels of professionalism in both conduct and appearance, and pay close attention to details.
## Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health insurance, an employee assistance program, and an employee discount.
