Company Description Penn Oaks Golf Club is a private, non-equity golf club located in scenic and historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. The championship 18-hole course, designed in 1965 by Russell Roberts, offers challenging play, picturesque views, and abundant wildlife. Conveniently situated just off Route 202 in West Chester, PA, the club is also a popular destination for golf tournaments and special events.
Role Description
The Outside Golf Operations role is a part-time, on-site position based at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, PA. This team member supports day-to-day golf operations, including greeting and assisting golfers, managing bag drop and cart staging, and maintaining the practice facilities. Responsibilities include preparing golf carts, ensuring range balls and equipment are organized, monitoring pace of play, and providing courteous service throughout the golfer experience.
The role also involves maintaining a clean and orderly outside operations area, assisting with tournaments and events, and communicating effectively with the golf shop and grounds staff. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications
Ability to deliver friendly, professional customer service and maintain a welcoming presence for members and guests.Basic golf knowledge, including familiarity with golf etiquette, pace-of-play expectations, and standard golf terminology.Reliability in managing tasks such as cart preparation, bag handling, and practice facility setup and breakdown.Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, and move golf bags and equipment safely throughout a shift.Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with golf staff, event teams, and course maintenance personnel.Attention to detail in keeping outside areas clean, organized, and ready for play and events.Prior experience in golf operations, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not required.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in varying outdoor weather conditions.
