Food and Beverage Manager

Job Summary Hilton Head National RV Resort is seeking an experienced, hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead all food and beverage operations across the resort. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while maintaining strong operational standards, controlling costs, developing the team, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a visible leader who is comfortable working alongside the team during busy periods, solving problems in real time, and creating an environment where employees are engaged, accountable, and focused on providing outstanding service. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all aspects of our food and beverage operations. Oversee food preparation, cooking, food handling, and presentation to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize profitability. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff members on food safety practices, customer service excellence, and operational procedures. Conduct staff scheduling, shift management, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours to maximize efficiency. Enforce food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health department standards through regular inspections. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or fine dining environments; catering or banquet experience is a plus. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen management, and food safety management. Hands-on experience with POS systems. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced restaurant settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team environment. Knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost management strategies. Previous experience managing hospitality teams across various service areas including bar operations. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
