Restaurant Expeditor

Job Responsibilities:
Order coordination: Act as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff by organizing ticket and prioritizing orders based on timing, course progression, and service flow.
Quality control: Verify that all menu items are prepared correctly, plated consistently, and meet presentation
standards before leaving the kitchen.
Order accuracy: Confirm that special requests, modifications, and allergies are properly completed before dishes are delivered.
Communication: Maintain constant communication with cooks, chefs, and servers to ensure smooth, timely service and resolve issues in real time.
Course management: Ensure proper sequencing of appetizers, entrées, and desserts so that tables receive meals in the correct order.
Problem resolution: Quickly address missing items, remakes, or ticket discrepancies to minimize service disruptions.
Expediting flow: Maintain an organized pass line and ensure tickets are executed in order of priority while supporting overall kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a restaurant, country club, resort, or high-volume dining environment preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in food presentation and order fulfillment.
Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure during peak service times.
Basic understanding of food preparation, plating standards, and menu composition.
Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly in a confined kitchen space, and lift up to 40 lbs when needed.
Must obtain valid Food Handler certification within 30 days of hire.
Requires weekend, evening, and holiday availability.
