TPC Boston is a private par-72, 7,241-yard golf course located in Norton, MA. Originally designed by the legendary player/designer Arnold Palmer, TPC Boston’s award-winning layout was redesigned in 2007 by Gil Hanse. The golf course is crafted to fit seamlessly into the natural New England landscape and excels in the areas of resource conservation, water quality management, integrated pest management, wildlife/habitat management and education/outreach. Tee up your career as a part of our team with the TPC Network! The Coordinator works with the Assistant Golf Professionals to serve Members and Guests in the Golf Shop. They are most influential in generating retail sales for the club. They conscientiously tend to the needs of the players and guests ensuring that their golf experience runs as smoothly and enjoyably as possible.
Responsibilities
Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possibleGreet and welcome Members and Guests in a professional and courteous mannerCommunicate clearly and professionally with Members, Guests, and fellow staff MembersAnswer questions and provide assistance and information to Members & GuestsAnswer telephones to schedule future starting times and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner. This may include: Accurately record time and date of reservation in the online reservation system Make corrections and update online reservation system as appropriate when reservations have been filled or canceled Email and telephone members/guests to verify advance reservations Advises guests of any abnormal golf course conditions (overseeding, aerification etc.) Communicate with local hotels/resorts concerning golf course profile (conditions)Accurately open, operate and close the point of sale system per the Club Operations Manual Handles and count cash, make accurate change, record credit cards, gift certificates and Member charges described by standard operating procedures Collect green fees, car fees, and other incomesAssist with physical inventories as requiredAssist with the daily cleaning of the golf shop to ensure continued cleanliness and appearance of the Golf Shop, storage areas, and merchandise displaysEnsure that displays are kept at par stock inventory levels at all times and that the appearance meets or exceeds PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc. standardsProfessionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of Members and Guests and offer appropriate merchandise alternativesAssist with all closing procedures for the Golf ShopCommunicate up to date information accurately and effectively using radio communications to all areas of the golf course (i.e. Caddie master, outside operations, maintenance, etc.)Special projects or other duties as assignedRequirements
High school education or equivalent educationBasic knowledge of general business practices, retail sales practices and procedures as would be acquired through one to two years of similar experiencePrevious customer experience requiredBenefits
