About the position
The Golf Club at Lansdowne is seeking a driven, Full-Time Assistant Golf Professional who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. This role will work closely with other members of the professional golf staff to provide top-of-the-line service to members and guests. The Assistant Golf Professional will be involved in all aspects of golf operations, including day-to-day operations, tournament operations, staff management, merchandising, and more. Working at The Golf Club at Lansdowne will provide the tools needed to excel and grow in the golf industry. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities
Work alongside the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and other members of the professional staffManage day-to-day operationsManage outside staff, including hiring, supervising, and scheduling (approximately 35 staff members)Assist with the preparation and management of club events and leaguesAssist in managing a cart fleet of 150 golf cartsProvide excellent customer serviceOversee practice facilities, locker room, and bag storageWork closely with other departmentsRequirements
Desire to pursue a career in golfAbility to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings as business demandsExperienced computer user with proficiency in Microsoft OfficePositive and proactive supervisory, leadership, and management skillsOutstanding customer service skillsStrong attention to detailNice-to-haves
