About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Golf Course Mechanic / Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of golf course and turf equipment, ensuring everything operates safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong mechanical experience who enjoys working on engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems in an outdoor/industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment such as mowers, aerators, rollers, and utility vehiclesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical componentsPerform reel grinding on greens, tees, and fairway mowersTroubleshoot wiring and electrical issues using schematics and manualsUse hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering equipment to complete repairsMaintain accurate service and maintenance recordsCoordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and specialized repairsEnsure all work meets safety standards and operational guidelinesWhat We’re Looking For
Experience as a golf course, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanic (preferred)Strong mechanical knowledge, including:Diesel enginesElectrical troubleshootingHydraulicsWelding and fabricationAbility to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manualsExperience with turf equipment brands like Toro, John Deere, Cushman, Kubota is a plusStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a physically demanding and outdoor environmentFrequent bending, lifting, and tool useRequirements
Must have reliable transportationMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningJob Type: Part-time
