Role Description The Racquet Sports Professional is a full-time, on-site role based at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in tennis, pickleball, and other racquet sports to players of all ages and skill levels through private lessons, group clinics, and junior programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and leading instructional sessions, organizing and supporting social events and tournaments, managing court usage and equipment, and providing exceptional member service on and off the court. The Racquet Sports Professional will assist with program development, create engaging experiences that drive participation, and collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in tennis and other racquet sports, with the ability to teach players across beginner to advanced levels.Experience designing and leading group clinics, private lessons, junior programs, and social or competitive racquet events.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a member-focused approach and the ability to engage participants of all ages.Organizational skills to manage schedules, coordinate court usage, and support tournaments and special events.Commitment to safety, sportsmanship, and inclusive participation, with the ability to foster a positive, respectful environment.Relevant professional certifications (e.g., RSPA, PTR, or equivalent) or a strong track record of teaching experience in a club or similar setting.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on program and member needs.Physical ability to be active on court for extended periods and to lift or move racquet sports equipment as needed.Previous experience in a private club, resort, or high-service recreational environment is preferred.
