Golf Course Superintendent - Boiling Springs Golf Club

Boiling Springs Golf Club is owned by the City of Woodward, OK and is operated by Dunn Golf Management Company. The course was renovated in 2012-2013 reopened for play in August 2013.  The course appeared on the cover of Golf Oklahoma, Golf Industry, and GCM magazines in 2021, drawing national publicity for its natural beauty and excellent playing conditions. Boiling Springs is located in northwest Oklahoma.  The course's site is elite, having all the characteristics of world-renowned courses such as Pine Valley, Royal Melbourne, Pinehurst and Prairie Dunes.  Those characteristics can be summarized as golf courses that have been built on sites with sand dunes, native grasses and varied tree cover.  Ron Whitten, of Golf Digest  says, "I call Boiling Springs one of the unheralded municipals in the country". The course has bermuda grass fairways and bent grass greens.  Boiling Springs offers a newly constructed maintenance facility and a lovely modern club house. Manage all facets of the operation. Including: - plan and implement staff schedules to ensure quality standards - maintain the golf course in proper playing conditions according to Company / City standards - Maintain the clubhouse / proshop / restaurant to proper standards - establish and implement a maintenance program to achieve standards - implement and monitor ordering, inventory levels - ensure proper volumes and price on all purchases - maintain accurate records for cost of labor, maintenance expenses, OSHA safety, fertilizer, chemical and pest control practices Requirements - 2-4 years experience as a superintendent or first assistant superintendent - obtain or able to obtain an Oklahoma applicator's license - knowledge of bent grass greens putting surfaces - demonstrated experience in staff management - ability to analyze and solve probems - able to work with minimal supervisioin - able to handle multiple duties sometimes under pressure - able to work flexible hours as required including weekends and holidays - positive attitude, professional manner and appearance
