About Columbus Country Club

Columbus Country Club is entering an exciting new chapter as we focus on providing a great golf experience and outstanding service to our members and guests.

We are looking for friendly, dependable, and outgoing individuals to join our team as Clubhouse Attendants / Bartenders.

This is much more than just a bartending position. Our clubhouse staff are the front line of the golf operation and play an important role in creating a great experience for our members and guests.

The Position

As a Clubhouse Attendant / Bartender, you'll handle a variety of responsibilities throughout your shift. This includes checking in golfers, managing tee times, answering phones, processing transactions, bartending, serving food and beverages, and helping with the day-to-day operation of the clubhouse.

We're looking for people who are friendly, dependable, can stay organized when things get busy, and are willing to jump in wherever they're needed.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Columbus Country Club operates seven days a week during the golf season, and employees should expect to work some weekend and holiday shifts.

This is a year-round position. The clubhouse remains open on select days and times during the winter, although available hours are reduced compared with the golf season.

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests and provide friendly, helpful serviceCheck golfers in for tee times and collect appropriate golf and cart feesCreate, modify, and manage tee time reservationsAnswer incoming phone calls and assist with questions and reservationsProcess golf, cart, merchandise, food, and beverage transactionsBartend and serve beer, liquor, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beveragesPrepare and serve simple food/menu items as neededMaintain an accurate cash drawer and process credit card transactionsAssist golfers with questions about the course, leagues, tournaments, and club operationsMonitor the tee sheet and help keep daily golf operations running smoothlyStock and organize the bar, coolers, and clubhouse suppliesMaintain a clean and welcoming clubhouse and bar areaComplete opening and/or closing proceduresAssist with winter clubhouse operations during our limited off-season schedulePerform other clubhouse duties as neededWhat We're Looking For

Must be at least 18 years oldMust be available to work some weekends and holidaysFriendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customersDependable and punctualAble to multitask and stay organized during busy periodsComfortable answering phones and using computers/POS systemsAbility to accurately handle cash and credit card transactionsWillingness to learn basic golf operations and terminologyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious bartending, restaurant, customer service, retail, or golf course experience preferred but not required — we will train the right personKnowledge of golf is a plus, but not requiredWhat We Offer
