Position SummarySpring Ford Country Club is seeking a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to join our aquatics team. The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the pool and surrounding areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly and effectively to emergencies.
This position requires excellent observation skills, strong swimming ability, sound judgment, and a professional approach to member and guest service.
Key ResponsibilitiesContinuously monitor the swimming pool and surrounding areas.Enforce all pool rules and established safety procedures.Identify and address potential safety hazards before incidents occur.Respond quickly and appropriately to water-related and medical emergencies.Perform water rescues, CPR, AED procedures, First Aid, and other emergency care when necessary.Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, pool conditions, and the surrounding area.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly pool deck.Provide courteous and professional assistance to members and guests.Clearly and calmly communicate pool rules and safety guidance.Complete incident reports and other required documentation.Assist with swim programs, Club activities, and special pool events as needed.Attend required training sessions and safety meetings.Work cooperatively with fellow lifeguards, pool staff, and Club management.QualificationsCurrent lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross, YMCA, or another recognized organization.Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.Strong swimming ability and the physical stamina required for continuous surveillance and emergency response.Ability to remain alert, focused, and proactive throughout the scheduled shift.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Professional, courteous, and composed when interacting with members, guests, and coworkers.Dependable, responsible, and punctual.Ability to follow Club policies and established safety procedures.Comfortable working outdoors in hot, humid, and changing weather conditions.Previous lifeguard or aquatics experience at a country club, community pool, camp, or similar facility is preferred but not required.Join Our TeamSpring Ford Country Club offers the opportunity to work in a professional, member-oriented environment with a team committed to safety and exceptional service.
