Job Summary Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard, where your primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool visitors. You will be the vigilant guardian of our aquatic environment, actively monitoring water activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your energetic presence will help create a secure, enjoyable atmosphere for guests of all ages, making every swim experience safe and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop vital skills in water safety, guest services, and emergency response while working in a dynamic environment dedicated to public safety and recreation. Responsibilities Vigilantly monitor pool areas to ensure water safety and enforce facility rules Respond promptly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to maintain optimal water quality Provide exceptional guest services by assisting swimmers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors Conduct safety inspections of the pool area, including checking safety equipment and ensuring compliance with public safety procedures Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols for medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or injuries Educate guests on water safety practices and provide basic water safety instruction to children and adults alike Experience Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Certification in lifeguard training including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, first aid protocols, and basic life support is highly desirable Experience working with children or in an aquatic facility setting is a plus Knowledge of pool maintenance, cleaning procedures, and water rescue response techniques is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool equipment or supplies Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions Demonstrated understanding of public safety procedures and medical emergency response protocols Join us in creating a safe, welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the water confidently!
