Lakewood Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced, organized, and service-oriented Business Office Manager to oversee the club's daily administrative, financial, and human resources operations.
Celebrating our 100th year, Lakewood is one of Middle Tennessee's premier private clubs, offering championship golf, dining, swimming, tennis, pickleball, and a vibrant social calendar. As we continue investing in our facilities, technology, and member experience, we're looking for a dedicated professional to become an integral part of our leadership team.
Position Summary
The Business Office Manager serves as the administrative hub of the club, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while providing exceptional service to our members. This position works closely with the President, Board of Directors, department managers, accounting, employees, members, and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage member billing, payments, accounts receivable, and collections
Process payroll and maintain employee records
Coordinate new employee onboarding and HR administration
Prepare monthly financial reports and support the budgeting process
Manage member accounts within the club management system
Assist prospective members through the membership application process
Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, and vendors
Oversee daily office operations, correspondence, filing systems, and administrative functions
Coordinate with accounting, department managers, and outside vendors
Prepare reports, Board materials, and club communications
Maintain confidential personnel and financial records
Support compliance with club policies and employment procedures
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
Three or more years of office management, business administration, accounting, or related experience
Payroll and bookkeeping experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Exceptional customer service skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Experience with accounting or club management software is preferred
Country club, hospitality, nonprofit, or service industry experience is a plus
