Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Shalimar, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Review foundational agronomic programs including soil testing practices, fertility, pest management, and cultural practices. Develops a 90-day State of the Golf Course report – assess current golf course infrastructure including irrigation system, drainage systems, maintenance facility complex, golf course equipment, and general course conditions to prioritize short-term and long-term improvements. Develops an effective member communication program to keep the membership well-informed in advance of planned maintenance programs and activities.

Steward of the golf course, and collaborates with the General Manager to develop policies and long-range initiatives to improve overall performance and reputation of the course.

Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, outside-the-box thinking and assures consistent achievement of goals.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong agronomic skills-stays current with trends in turf technology and equipment.
Preferred:
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in turf management or a related field of study.
Minimum of 3 years of experience at the level of Assistant Golf Superintendent or higher.
Warm-season experience in similar growing environments.
Carries all Florida pesticide and environmental certifications, or transferrable credentials.
Compensation:
$55,000 – $70,000 per year.
