Typically, this position will go from around April 1st to November 1st but may vary depending on the weather./div div /div divPay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour/div div /div pstrongPosition Summary:/strong br /The responsibility of the maintenance/groundskeeper is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing condition of the golf course along with responsibilities for the landscape and maintenance around the golf course. The maintenance/groundskeeper will perform major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment under the general direction of the Superintendent and/or regional head mechanic./p divstrongQualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:/strong/div ul li divMust possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations./div /li li divAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safely./div /li li divAbility to inspect equipment and related components./div /li li divMust be highly motivated, goal driven and self‐starter./div /li li divMust have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions./div /li li divMust be dependable and on time./div /li /ul divstrongResponsibilities:/strong/div ul liFollow the preventative maintenance program to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipment./li liFollow all safety protocols./li liPerform all maintenance duties in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction./li liPerform all maintenance duties in a prompt and efficient manner./li liHelp maintain a clean, organized shop area./li liAssure proper disposal of all garbage found on the golf course./li liMows greens, aprons, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas./li liPerform other duties as assigned by the course superintendent./li /ul divstrongWorking Conditions:/strong/div ul liWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms./li liThe employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel for five hours at a time without sitting./li liThe employee frequently is required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, crawl, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls./li liThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally./li liSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception./li liModerate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, mechanical hazards and electrical hazards.
