pstrongPosition Summary:/strong br /The responsibility of the maintenance/groundskeeper is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing condition of the golf course along with responsibilities for the landscape and maintenance around the golf course. The maintenance/groundskeeper will perform major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment under the general direction of the Superintendent and/or regional head mechanic./p

divMust possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations./div

divAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safely./div

divAbility to inspect equipment and related components./div

divMust have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions./div

divMust be dependable and on time./div

liFollow the preventative maintenance program to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipment./li
liFollow all safety protocols./li
liPerform all maintenance duties in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction./li
liPerform all maintenance duties in a prompt and efficient manner./li
liHelp maintain a clean, organized shop area./li
liAssure proper disposal of all garbage found on the golf course./li
liMows greens, aprons, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas./li
liPerform other duties as assigned by the course superintendent./li

liWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms./li
liThe employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel for five hours at a time without sitting./li

liThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally./li
liSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception./li
liModerate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, mechanical hazards and electrical hazards. Daily exposure to dusts and pollens./li
