About the Role
OverviewHot Shot Golf Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to support our growing programs and expanding footprint. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching the game, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to play a key role in developing the next generation of golfers.
You'll be a key part of both instruction and day-to-day operations, helping deliver exceptional coaching experiences while supporting the overall growth of the academy.
Experience RequiredStrong golf background with playing and/or coaching experienceExperience teaching or working with junior golfers preferredPGA Associate or PGA Member strongly preferred (or actively pursuing)Passion for player development and growing the gameExcellent customer service and communication skillsEnergetic, positive, and team-oriented with a strong work ethicComfortable using technology, including simulators, scheduling systems, and POS platformsEssential ResponsibilitiesInstruction & CoachingLead and assist junior clinics, camps, and player development programsProvide private and small-group instruction to juniors and adultsDeliver engaging, high-quality coaching that balances fundamentals with funSupport the development and evolution of instructional programmingPlayer Experience & Brand RepresentationServe as a brand ambassador by creating a welcoming, energetic, and professional environmentDeliver an exceptional experience for every player and family, consistently exceeding expectationsBuild strong relationships with players, families, and the local communitySimulator & Facility OperationsSet up and manage simulator sessions for lessons and rentalsMaintain a clean, organized, and high-performing training environmentTake ownership of simulator spaces, equipment, and overall facility presentationTroubleshoot basic technology or simulator issues as neededOperations & AdministrationProvide administrative support including scheduling, communication, and organizationAssist with merchandising, inventory management, and retail presentationUtilize scheduling systems, POS platforms, and other business tools effectivelyClub Fitting & RetailConduct club fitting sessions and provide equipment recommendationsSupport retail operations and contribute to overall sales performanceEvents & ProgrammingAssist with the planning, setup, and execution of events, clinics, and special programsSupport junior programming growth and overall academy participationGrowth & DevelopmentContribute ideas for new programs, events, and player development initiativesSupport marketing and promotional efforts as neededStay current with teaching methods, golf technology, and industry trends through ongoing educationTake on increasing responsibility and ownership opportunities as the academy continues to expandBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications50% commission on all private lessons and club fitting sessions10% commission on gross club salesPaid time off, including up to 2 weeks of vacation annuallyPlaying privileges through corporate golf club membershipPGA dues reimbursement (for Associates and Members)Flexible scheduling to support work-life balanceOngoing mentorship and a defined growth pathway within Hot Shot Golf AcademyOpportunity for increased hours, compensation, and leadership responsibilities as the academy continues to grow
