Position Overview

Country Club of York is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This position is ideal for a PGA Member or PGA Associate seeking a well-rounded private club experience with opportunities in teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development.

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding service to members and guests consistent with PGA and club     standardsAssist in the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS systemsOrganize, administer, and execute member tournaments, leagues, and outside eventsProvide individual instruction, group clinics, and junior golf programmingSupport player development initiatives and grow instructional revenueEnforce the Rules of Golf, pace of play, and club policiesAssist with training, supervision, and scheduling of outside services staffParticipate in merchandising planning, and seasonal programmingRepresent the club in a professional manner at all timesPreferred Qualifications

PGA Member in good standing or PGA Associate actively progressing     through the PGA PGM ProgramBachelor’s degree in Golf Management or related field preferredStrong teaching aptitude and passion for player developmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysExperience with Golf Genius tournament software and JONAS preferredCompensation & Professional Benefits
