About Cabot-Managed Properties
Since 2022, Cabot has managed the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Cascata and Serket in Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Bear in Saucier, Mississippi, and Chariot Run in Laconia, Indiana.
Position Overview
The Retail Manager oversees all aspects of golf shop retail operations, including merchandising, inventory, and sales performance. The role reports to the General Manager and works closely with the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Professionals. This is an individual contributor role and does not carry direct supervisory responsibility.
Essential Functions

Provide extraordinary service in all interactions with guests.
Develop and manage merchandise buying plans and vendor relationships.
Monitor and analyze retail sales performance to identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
Ensure the golf shop is maintained in an attractive, neat, and clean manner at all times.
Drive merchandise sales and achieve retail sales and revenue targets.
Direct the organization of merchandise and visual displays.
Oversee the receiving, pricing, and merchandising of new inventory.
Manage regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain inventory controls and analyze sales records to inform purchasing decisions.
Manage the ordering of merchandise and shop supplies, including stock replenishment, special orders, and special events.
Maintain thorough knowledge of daily golf shop operations.
Assist in golf shop counter operations, including greeting, checking in, and handling calls.
Coordinate with the guest service team to ensure timely communication of guest requests.
Partner with the Tournament Coordinator on the planning and execution of special events and tournaments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive experience in the golf industry and a strong understanding of the game of golf is required.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:
Must possess a high ability to interact with people.
Must possess excellent customer service skills
Outgoing personality, personable and well groomed.
Must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities promptly and efficiently.
5+ years of retail management experience, preferably within the golf and/or luxury hospitality industry
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.

Physical Demands
Ability to visually inspect golf carts, golf clubs, and outside operations area for cleanliness
Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
Ability to operate motor vehicles
Work Environment
This position’s daily routine will take place indoors. However, the position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions in performing the duties of the job.
