The Food & Beverage Manager role at Hidden Valley Country Club is a vital hands-on leadership position critical to the delivery of exceptional member and guest experiences across multiple food and beverage outlets. This role requires a dynamic individual to manage day-to-day operations of the Club’s restaurant, bar, pool snack bar, pool bar, two on-course beverage carts, and member dining and social events. As part of this role, the Manager will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, Golf Operations team, and Club leadership to ensure consistency in service quality and to maintain outstanding hospitality standards. Functioning as both a leader and a team coach, the Food & Beverage Manager will oversee all front-of-house operations, developing and enforcing departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive operational excellence and enhance the overall member experience.
The Manager will be instrumental in fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and teamwork among staff members while maintaining a visible presence throughout Club operating hours to address member concerns and promote a welcoming environment. This role includes comprehensive responsibility for staffing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, ensuring the team is equipped and motivated to provide top-tier service. Additionally, the Manager will lead the planning and execution of all member events, coordinating logistics such as staffing, service plans, room setups, and collaboration with culinary and operational departments for seamless event delivery.
Financial accountability is a key aspect of this position, including beverage inventory management, ordering, monthly audits, budgeting support, and monitoring of labor and operational costs. The successful candidate will bring at least 3-5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience, preferably within private clubs, resorts, hotels, or upscale restaurants, with a proven track record of managing multiple outlets and delivering high levels of hospitality. Familiarity with hospitality technology platforms such as Troon, Club Essential, Jonas, Northstar, and POS systems is highly desirable. This role demands flexibility in scheduling including availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events, ensuring leadership presence during peak periods and major Club activities.
