About the Role
Tri-County Country Club is an 18-Hole Semi-Private facility located in Forestville, New York. Tri-County Country Club members and guests play approximately 15,000 rounds annually and host numerous member and outside events.
The newly rebuilt clubhouse will open this season and we could not be more excited to show off the facilities. Boasting a very active and loyal membership, TCCC is an exceptional opportunity for an up and coming golf professional to develop a diverse skillset.
The Club is looking for career-focused golf professional staff, either currently in the PGA/LPGA program, or intending to begin the program this season. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to deliver high-level service with an engaging and professional demeanor. The right candidate will seamlessly transition between roles, including managing the pro shop, giving lessons and running junior programs, and administering professional tournaments and events. Good written and verbal communication skills are a must, and experience with GolfGenius, Lightspeed, Trackman, and Operation36 are welcome. This seasonal position will run from April-October.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience as an assistant professional
• Knowledge of golf events, tournament administration, and Rules of Golf
• Coaching experience required to give lessons
• PGA/LPGA Associate or PGM Program preferred
• Maintain friendly and hospitable attitude
• Conduct all business professionally and with integrity
• Tournament administration via GolfGenius
• Perform all opening and closing golf shop responsibilities
• Check in and start golfers
• Maintain clean and visually appealing golf shop
• Monitor and enforce pace of play
• Assist in training and supervising pro shop and outside staff
• Assist with scheduling outside staff
• Assist in conducting member clinics
• Provide private lessons (candidate must demonstrate coaching proficiency before being approved to teach)
• Assist with Junior Golf Programming using Operation36
• Assist Head Golf Professional with all day-to-day operational systems
• Maintain positive relationship with Grounds team
• Monitor and manage upkeep of golf cart fleet
• Responsibly play with members to build relationships
