A PGA Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in managing all aspects of a golf facility's daily operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing staff, coordinating events, and growing the game of golf through instruction. It serves as the primary training ground for advancing to a Head Professional or Director of Golf position.
Core Responsibilities

<li><strong>Golf Operations:</strong> Manage the tee sheet, player registration, pace of play, and daily cash handling procedures.</li>
<li><strong>Tournament Organization:</strong> Plan, promote, and execute member tournaments, corporate outings, and charity events, including format setup and scoring.</li>
<li><strong>Instruction & Player Development:</strong> Conduct private lessons, group clinics, and junior golf camps using modern teaching technologies.</li>
<li><strong>Retail & Merchandising:</strong> Assist with inventory control, visual merchandising displays, special orders, and golf shop sales.</li>
<li><strong>Staff Supervision:</strong> Recruit, train, and manage outside service staff, including cart attendants, bag room staff, and starter/ranger personnel.</li>
<li><strong>Rules & Play:</strong> Maintain a strong knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf to assist members and guests during play.</li>
