Sous Chef – Terradyne Country Club Position Summary Terradyne Country Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading all back-of-house culinary operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining exceptional food quality, kitchen organization, and efficient service for member dining, tournaments, banquets, weddings, and special events. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and food production Prepare and oversee high-quality menu items with consistency and attention to presentation Supervise, train, and support line cooks and kitchen staff during service Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and proper food storage Help manage labor and food costs while minimizing waste Support banquet and event execution, including weddings, golf tournaments, and private functions Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment Qualifications Minimum 2 years of kitchen leadership or Sous Chef experience preferred Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-volume environment Excellent organizational and communication skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events Culinary degree or formal training is a plus, but not required What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive and professional work environment Employee meals and club amenities Health benefits and paid time off (where applicable) Terradyne Country Club is committed to providing exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests while fostering a culture of professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork.
