Overview
The Golf Green Keepers at Qiddiya Investment Company are essential to maintaining the pristine condition and exceptional quality of our golf course. They work as a team to ensure that all greens, fairways, tee boxes, and surrounding course areas are meticulously cared for and meet the highest standards expected in a luxury golf environment. The Golf Green Keepers play a vital role in enhancing the playing experience by applying expert knowledge in turf management, landscaping, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including mowing, watering, fertilising, aerating, and pest control.
Help maintain the course’s landscaping features such as trees, shrubs, and bunkers.
Repair turf damage, maintain pathways, and assist with irrigation management to preserve the lushness and consistency of the golf course.
Turf & Course Maintenance
Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas using specialized turf maintenance equipment.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in accordance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Perform aeration, topdressing, and turf repairs to support healthy grass growth.
Maintain bunkers and sand traps by raking and ensuring proper sand depth and drainage.
Monitor and report signs of turf diseases or pest infestations promptly.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate and perform basic maintenance on mowers, tractors, sprayers, and irrigation systems.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, serviced, and stored correctly after use.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines when handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Support environmentally sustainable practices in water use, chemical application, and waste management.
Maintain a safe working environment for staff, players, and visitors through hazard identification and mitigation.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Green Keeper or in turf management within a golf or resort environment.
Skills & Certifications
Proficiency in operating turf maintenance machinery such as mowers, tractors, and sprayers.
Understanding of turfgrass types, diseases, and pest control methods.
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and repair techniques is preferable.
Certification in pesticide application or turf management is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for long periods. Physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended hours.
