About the Role
<p>Position Summary</p>
<p>The Restaurant Manager oversees all clubhouse food and beverage operations, including the main bar, lounge, and flexible banquet/dining space at a friendly, semi-private executive golf club. This role focuses on delivering welcoming, personalized service to members and guests in a relaxed, community-oriented environment. With a total of 905 member doors, the club serves a diverse membership that values approachable hospitality, exceptional food & drinks, and a fun atmosphere. The manager ensures efficient daily operations, strong financial results, and memorable experiences for members and guests. </p>

<p>The ideal candidate is a strong leader and creative thinker who thrives in a busy, casual environment, understands cost control, and actively identifies opportunities to increase revenue, including suggestions for upgrades and creative use of current resources.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<p>Leadership & Team Management</p>
<p>· Lead, schedule, train, and develop a team of service staff.</p>
<p>· Recruit and retain reliable team members who deliver friendly, efficient service.</p>
<p>· Conduct team meetings, ongoing training, and performance feedback.</p>
<p>· Promote a positive, team-oriented culture that matches the club’s approachable, down-to-earth membership.</p>
<p>Member & Guest Experience</p>
<p>· Create a welcoming environment where members feel at home. Whether stopping in after a round of golf, enjoying the lounge, dinner in the dining room or attending an event.</p>
<p>· Provide friendly, attentive service tailored to a diverse membership that appreciates genuine hospitality.</p>
<p>· Manage reservations, events, banquets, and daily dining in the flexible space.</p>
<p>· Handle member feedback promptly and positively to maintain high satisfaction.</p>
<p>Operations & Compliance</p>
<p>· Oversee daily operations of the bar, lounge, and banquet/dining room.</p>
<p>· Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and food/beverage quality.</p>
<p>· Ensure full compliance with food safety (ServSafe), alcohol service laws, and health regulations.</p>
<p>· Coordinate with the Club Chef on menu execution, daily specials, happy hour and high-volume service during peak golf times and events.</p>
<p>· Coordinate with Head Golf Pro on supporting golf operations food & beverage needs.</p>
<p>Financial Performance</p>

<p>· Control labor, food, and beverage costs while driving revenue through strong sales in the bar, lounge, and events. </p>
<p>· Devise additional streams of revenue with high profit margins through creative thinking.</p>
<p>· Monitor daily sales, inventory, and expenses to meet budget goals.</p>
<p>· Maximize banquet and meeting bookings as a key revenue source.</p>
<p>· Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on key performance indicators and review with Board Liaison as required.</p>
<p>Additional Duties</p>

<p>· Assist with club-wide events, member functions, and golf-related activities.</p>
<p>· Participate in Board meetings and contribute ideas to improve the clubhouse experience.</p>
<p>· Help maintain the casual, friendly atmosphere but also creates fun experiences for a cool club vibe.</p>
<p>Qualifications</p>
<p>· Experience: Minimum 3-5+ years of restaurant or clubhouse management experience, preferably in casual/semi-casual dining, golf clubs, or high-volume venues. Experience identifying and implementing revenue-growth ideas is a strong plus.</p>
<p>· Education: Hospitality or business-related degree preferred, but relevant hands-on experience is highly valued.</p>
<p>· Certifications: ServSafe Food Manager and responsible alcohol service (TIPS or equivalent) required.</p>
<p>· Availability: Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to match golf and event schedules.</p>
<p>Requirements</p>
<p>· Strong leadership and people-management skills.</p>
<p>· Experience managing a bar/lounge and multi-purpose event/dining space.</p>
<p>· Friendly, energetic, and relatable personality that fits our club culture.</p>
<p>· Solid understanding of cost control, P&L management, and creative revenue generation.</p>
<p>· Proficiency with POS systems, KPI reports and Microsoft Office.</p>
<p>· Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to evaluate and propose operational/physical improvements to the clubhouse.</p>
<p>· Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.</p>
<p>· Genuine passion for hospitality and working with a diverse membership.</p>
