This leadership role is ideal for a hospitality professional who excels at creating memorable events while driving revenue and delivering outstanding member and guest experiences.
Annual compensation: $75k - $95k BOE
Overview
The Director of Catering Sales & Events is a key revenue-driving role responsible for planning, selling, coordinating, and executing a wide range of member and private events at the Club, including golf tournaments, social gatherings, and special functions. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with all department heads, this individual ensures exceptional member and guest experiences through seamless execution, strong cross-department collaboration, and elevated service standards.
This role requires a hands-on, proactive approach to developing new business, engaging with members, and leveraging relationships to grow event revenue. The ideal candidate is a confident, creative, and relationship-driven event sales professional with a proven track record and a strong understanding of marketing and delivering a premier private club experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a forward-looking sales strategy targeting weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, milestone events, business meetings, and other private functionsActively solicit business from both members and outside leads, including through direct outreach, networking, referral building, and community presenceWork with the Director of Food & Beverage and marketing team to create branded campaigns that highlight Beechmont's upcoming new event spacesEstablish and maintain relationships with event planners, vendors, and businesses to build an external pipeline of eventsEngage with new and current members to understand their event needs and promote usage of Club spacesConduct facility tours, especially highlighting upcoming renovation plans and renderingsManage inquiry follow-up, proposal writing, space bookings, contract negotiation, and BEO creationOversee and mentor Banquet Manager to ensure seamless delivery of events and exceptional serviceTrack key sales metrics and pipeline status, report regularly on performance and forecasted bookingsRemain visible and accessible at key events; be an enthusiastic ambassador for the Club's culture and offeringsStay up to date on industry trends and pricing to ensure Beechmont's private events program remains competitive and profitable
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in event sales and management, preferably in a private club, luxury hotel, or venue settingStrong track record of driving revenue and growing event business from both internal and external clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience building prospect pipelines and using CRM/event management systems (Caterease and Jonas or similar a plus)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, service-focused environmentHigh energy, polished demeanor, and a passion for hospitality and relationship-buildingBachelor's degree in hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
