Irrigation Tech

Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, perform Irrigation maintenance duties in order to maintain greens, tees, fairways, vegetation and landscaped areas. Essential Functions: • Maintaining Irrigation Sprinklers • Repair and replacement of irrigation valves and controls • General Electrical troubleshooting of controls and wiring systems • Operate and maintain a variety of irrigation tools and Use and operation of a backhoe, with safe digging practices • Repair and Replacement of PVC pipe. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: 2 years of golf course maintenance preferred Irrigation: Experience with Rain Bird and/or Toro heads/computer system Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Understand and follow oral and written directions • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with fellow co-workers • Work in a desert environment • Basic irrigation knowledge Personal Characteristics: • Behaves ethically • Communicates effectively: Speaks and listens in a clear, thorough, and timely manner.
