About the Role
Carrollwood Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, dependable individuals to assist with our youth golf programs, Operation 36 and Birdie Basics. Junior Golf Program Assistants play an important role in creating a positive, engaging environment where young golfers can learn the game, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for golf, and thrives in an energetic, team-oriented environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Instruction & Player Development
Assist in teaching golf fundamentals to children ages 4/5 for Birdie Basics OR 6-13 for Operation 36.
Demonstrate proper techniques for putting, chipping, full swing, and on-course play.
Encourage players through positive reinforcement.
Adapt instruction to various ages and skill levels.
Class & Activity Leadership
Lead warm-ups, games, and athletic development activities.
Help facilitate Operation 36 curriculum and/or Birdie Basics lessons.
Maintain an engaging, organized class environment.
Encourage teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship.
Tournament & Event Support
Assist with weekly classes and/or weekend on-course tournaments.
Help set up and break down practice stations and equipment.
Support end-of-semester events and junior golf activities.
Safety & Supervision
Supervise participants in a safe and positive environment.
Follow all club safety procedures.
Maintain awareness of participant behavior.
Communicate any safety or behavioral concerns.
Teamwork
Work closely with the Director of Youth Activities & Golf Department.
Communicate effectively with fellow instructors.
Provide excellent customer service to members and families.
Be a positive role model on and off the golf course.
Qualifications
Preferred
Previous experience working with children
Basic golf knowledge or playing experience
Strong communication skills
Positive attitude
Reliable transportation
Comfortable working outdoors
