Join our dynamic team as an enthusiastic and experienced Youth Golf Instructor dedicated to inspiring children aged 7 to 10 through engaging and educational golf classes held on Thursday afternoons.
In this role, you will foster a fun, safe, and supportive environment where young learners develop essential golf skills, sportsmanship, and confidence. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a lifelong love for the game while promoting physical activity and teamwork among young students. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives through sports instruction.
The ideal candidate is punctual, has a passion for working with children, enjoys teaching the fundamentals of golf, and can create a positive, high-energy learning environment. The instructor would need to arrive by 2:45 to setup for class. Classes run from 3:10pm to 4:25pm.
Responsibilities
Lead engaging golf lessons tailored to children aged 7–10, focusing on fundamental skills such as proper grip, stance, posture, putting, chipping, and full swing techniques
Create a lively and motivating atmosphere that encourages participation, learning, and enjoyment of the sport.
Implement age-appropriate coaching techniques that promote safety, skill development, and sportsmanship.
Provide positive coaching and constructive feedback to help students improve
Manage class behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful learning environment.
There will be an assistant to help teach the class but the person hired for this position would be the lead instructor.
Communicate clearly with BA staff to ensure goals of class and students are achieved.
Maintain safety standards by supervising all activities closely and being prepared to operate first aid and CPR equipment if necessary.
Adapt instruction to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles
Maintain a safe, organized, and encouraging learning environment
Design/Collaborate with other instructors or staff to plan curriculum enhancements and ensure smooth class operations.
Skills
Experience working with children in sports or educational settings, with a passion for youth development.
Knowledge of Golf and how to develop young golfers via drills and creative games to hold attention.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with young students and their families.
Knowledge of sports coaching techniques specific to golf instruction. Background in youth-specific golf training.
Certification in first aid and CPR; AED operation experience is a plus
Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering teamwork and confidence among young learners.
Previous experience in childcare or physical education teaching helps create an energetic and supportive class environment.
