Ensures the associates provide a high level of customer service.</li> <li>Selects, supervises, trains and evaluates: pro shop, locker room, golf range, golf bag and club storage employees, as well as on-course personnel.</li> <li>Provides golf lessons to members and guests.</li> <li>Plays golf with members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm.</li> <li>Designs and conducts golf clinics.</li> <li>Plans professional development and training activities for subordinates.</li> <li>Designs and conducts junior golf clinics and training programs.</li> <li>Collects charges and fees for all golf-related activities.</li> <li>Organizes and conducts club tournaments and related events.</li> <li>Interprets and enforces “The Rules of Golf”</li> <li>Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations.</li> <li>Consults with the General Manager about golf course and practice range operations, maintenance and rules.</li> <li>Cooperates with the grounds superintendent about maintenance issues that affect the playability of the golf course.</li> <li>Enforces the By-laws governing play.</li> <li>Represents the club in area professional events including local, state or national events.</li> <li>Maintains records relating to player and guest rounds and other statistics.</li> <li>Plans social events to promote golf and fellowship among members and guests.</li> <li>Schedules staff hours to assure that members are fully served and that labor costs are maintained.</li> <li>Assists in the development of short- and long-range plans for improvements to the club facilities and courses.</li> <li>Attends national and sectional conferences and meetings, merchandise shows, educational and professional shows to encourage development and to enhance quality and image of the club.</li> <li>Interacts with food and beverage department about food and beverage needs for events.</li> <li>Maintains visible presence on the course during peak times of play.</li> <li>Supervises golf play of members and guests from the first tee and maintains starting times according to the club’s rules and regulations.</li> <li>Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.</li> <li>Knowledge of property management system.</li> <li>Regular and reliable attendance.</li> <li>Performs other duties as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Lesson Gratuity:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Will earn 90% of lesson fees for all lessons conducted at a Brown Golf Facility</li> <li>10% of all lesson fees will be paid to the course for use of facilities, balls and wear and tear</li> </ul> <p><strong>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee of this job.  Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</strong></p> <p><strong>Degree/Licenses:</strong></p> <p>Bachelors degree; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p> <p>Regularly stands, walks and sits.  Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels.  Frequently uses hands to finger feel or handle; reaches with arms.  Frequently talks and hears.  Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.</p> <strong>Please Note: The chosen candidate will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive Background Check as a condition of employment. </strong>
