Duties Operate and maintain golf course groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, planting, fertilizing, and watering to uphold the course’s aesthetic appeal. Manage irrigation systems effectively to ensure proper watering schedules, troubleshoot issues, and perform system adjustments for healthy turf growth. Conduct athletic field groundskeeping activities to maintain safe playing surfaces and ensure compliance with safety standards. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling of materials, and use of hand tools for various landscaping projects. Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests and maintain healthy turf conditions. Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure longevity and safety during operation. Requirements Proven experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. Proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, power tools, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and company vehicles. Knowledge of irrigation management and pesticide application procedures aligned with safety standards. Ability to perform manual labor including heavy lifting and handling gardening materials or landscaping supplies. Familiarity with power tool safety practices and equipment maintenance routines. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions for turf care and landscaping projects. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
