About the Role
Salary Range - $16.90 per hour plus service charges
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Wellness, the Massage Therapist demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and a grounded presence that supports both Members and colleagues. They approach each interaction with understanding and adaptability, creating a welcoming environment where every Member feels seen and supported. With a strong commitment to health and well-being, the therapist meets Members where they are on their individual wellness journeys, helping them progress at their own pace through attentive care, thoughtful communication, and consistent professionalism.
Job Functions
Utilize appropriate spa products and apply knowledge of wellness practices to effectively meet the needs of Members.
Use all spa products in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Adhere to proper clock-in and clock-out protocols and follow all “Spa Specific” preparation and cleanup times.
Guide Members through the Spa Menu and assist in selecting treatments that best meet their goals and preferences.
Design customized massage sessions based on Members’ specific needs, concerns, or problem areas.
Utilize Mindbody Scheduling Software to manage appointments, preparation times, and service notes.
Accurately charge Members for services, ensuring any enhancements or add-ons are applied with correct fees.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled appointments and clock out no later than 15 minutes after service completion.
Maintain a neat, clean, and sanitary work area in compliance with California safety and health requirements.
Restock treatment rooms and maintain accurate monthly back bar inventory; communicate supply needs to the Spa Director.
Develop positive and professional relationships with Members, taking note of specific injuries or conditions and responding to feedback with professionalism and care.
Ensure all safety standards are met and department and facility policies are consistently followed.
Promote additional spa or wellness services as appropriate.
Maintain a respectful, cooperative, and professional demeanor with Front Desk Attendants, management, and all team members.
Attend and actively participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
Promptly report any concerns, issues, or feedback to Management.
Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the spa and company.
Job Qualifications
Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a professional Massage Therapist; Private Club or Resort experience preferred.
CAMTC License. Additional specialty/certifications preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Swedish, Hot Stone, Trigger Point, Sports and Neuromuscular therapy massage .
Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods
Ability to perform massages on diverse clients
CPR/AED Certification
Required to lift/move up 25lbs.
Must be over the age of 18 years of age.
