Massage Therapist & Spa Coordinator

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Massage Therapist & Spa Coordinator to join our wellness team. In this dual role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services while also managing the daily operations of our spa, ensuring a seamless and relaxing experience for every guest. Duties Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and other modalities tailored to client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure effective pain management. Maintain detailed documentation of client treatments, physiological responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate clients on post-treatment care, occupational health considerations, and wellness strategies to enhance their overall experience. Manage spa operations by scheduling appointments, coordinating staff shifts, and overseeing cleanliness and safety protocols. Assist clients with inquiries about services, treatments, and spa packages to ensure a positive customer service experience. Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations including proper sanitation practices. Provide tours of the facility, including locker rooms and amenities, ensuring a seamless guest experience Process member check-outs and assist with retail and inventory management Fitness Center Support: includes maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness floor, perform regular checks of locker rooms and restock supplies as needed, and assist with laundry duties, including towels and locker room items Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to deliver safe and effective massage therapy. Proven expertise in various massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and pain management strategies. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients. Experience in client assessment to customize treatments based on individual needs and health conditions. Familiarity with medical terminology related to occupational health and therapeutic practices. Excellent organizational skills for managing spa schedules, inventory, and administrative tasks efficiently. Prior med spa experience is highly desirable for understanding integrated wellness services. *Must have an active massage therapist license and liability insurance.
