Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Golf Club in Gulf Breeze, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Position Overview: • Coordinates with the Superintendent and supervises staff members as needed • Performs routine maintenance tasks as needed • Ensures proper calibration and safe operation of all spraying/fertilizing equipment • Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with governmental regulations • Remains up-to-date in knowledge of chemicals/fertilizers that are being applied and general continuing education • Maintains all records as required by regulating authorities • Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations • Responsible for ensuring the safety and direction of chemical/fertilizer handlers and/or helpers • Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties. Assists with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems • Daily Irrigation monitoring, scheduling, general maintenance and upkeep • Harbors a team first mentality that builds a top flight golf & grounds maintenance team • Understands customer service and meeting expectations for owners, guests, and members • Performs other duties as needed • High level of communication • We are looking for a driven, highly motivated candidate who possesses the desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent Requirements • Ability to obtain Florida pesticide license • Great communication skills • 2+ years of experience • 2 or 4 year degree in Agronomy/ Turfgrass Management Compensation $60,000 – $70,000 per year.
