Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Position Overview: Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude: • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily golf course maintenance operations • Execute fertility, irrigation, plant protectant, and cultural practice programs • Monitor and maintain championship-quality playing conditions throughout the property • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance staff • Lead daily assignments and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently • Assist with irrigation management and water conservation initiatives • Participate in pesticide and fertilizer applications • Monitor turf health and identify agronomic concerns proactively • Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and recordkeeping • Coordinate special projects and course improvement initiatives • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and environmental regulations • Assume operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Agronomy or Golf Course Superintendent • Contribute to planning and implementation of future capital projects Requirements • Certificate, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field preferred • 1-4+ years of golf course maintenance experience considered • Additional experience may offset educational requirements • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred • Strong understanding of warm-season turfgrass management principles • Experience with irrigation systems and water management practices preferred • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays • Valid driver’s license Compensation $60,000 – $70,000 per year.
