LMGC Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Location: Sparta, NJ – Sussex County Course: Private, 18-Hole, Member-Owned Lake Mohawk Golf Club is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our dedicated, high-performing team beginning March 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated turf professional to grow under the guidance of our current Superintendent and take a leadership role in their absence. Responsibilities: • Assist in daily planning and execution of all golf course maintenance activities • Supervise and lead staff in the Superintendent’s absence • Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed • Apply and document fertilizer and pesticide programs in accordance with regulatory standards • Operate and maintain a variety of turf equipment • Help manage course conditioning based on seasonal needs and weather conditions • Contribute to staff training, safety, and scheduling • Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control • Support environmental stewardship and sustainable practices Qualifications: • Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: From $25-$30, commensurate with experience • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off • Daily meals provided • Golf course access and employee discounts Join a respected, member-owned club with a supportive leadership team and a strong commitment to quality and professional development.
