Internship Overview This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to build the knowledge and skills needed for a career in golf course management. Interns participate in day-to-day course operations, including small-crew leadership, daily planning, chemical applications, recordkeeping and data collection, and water management. The intern will work closely with the director of agronomy, superintendent, assistant superintendent’s, mechanic’s, and a year-round crew of approximately 25. - Working knowledge of chemical application equipment - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Eagerness to learn and advance professionally - A golfer’s understanding of the game and its rules - Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new programs quickly - Ability to follow oral and written instructions - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong time-management and organizational skills - Ability to lead effectively without a formal management title
