Role Description The Server role at The Grove Country Club is a part-time, on-site position located in Long Grove, IL. In this role, the Server provides friendly, efficient table service in dining areas, ensuring that members and guests feel welcomed and well cared for. Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and accurately entering food and beverage orders, serving meals, and monitoring guest needs throughout their visit. The Server collaborates closely with kitchen and bar staff, assists with table setup and breakdown, and maintains cleanliness and organization in service areas. Additional duties include processing payments, following club standards and health regulations, and supporting special events or functions as needed.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional experience for members and guests.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear, courteous interaction with diverse individuals.Basic food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to learn menu items, specials, and club offerings and explain them confidently.Attention to detail and time management skills to handle multiple tables, prioritize tasks, and support smooth dining room operations.Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods, and to follow safety and sanitation procedures in all work areas.Previous serving or hospitality experience in restaurants, clubs, or event venues Reliable transportation to Long Grove, IL, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
