About the Role
Role DescriptionThe Golf Coach will deliver high-quality golf instruction to individuals and groups, with a focus on creating a welcoming, confidence-building experience for women and girls. This is a contract, on-site role located in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area, working primarily at partner courses, practice facilities, and event locations.Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and leading instructional sessions, clinics, and workshops tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to more experienced players. The Golf Coach will demonstrate proper technique, provide individualized feedback, and design drills that support skill development, course management, and enjoyment of the game. Additional responsibilities include supporting community coaching initiatives, collaborating with college athlete coaches, assisting with events and clinics, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. The coach may also provide input on program development and contribute to educational content or resources related to golf fundamentals and best practices.QualificationsStrong golf instruction skills, including Golf Instruction and Coaching, with the ability to teach fundamentals, rules, and etiquette clearly and patiently.Experience in Sports Coaching and Golf, with a track record of working with diverse learners, ideally including women, girls, or beginners.Knowledge of Golf Management principles, such as session planning, equipment use, safety, and coordination with course or facility staff.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.Previous coaching, teaching, or instructor experience (youth sports, camps, clinics, or similar programs) strongly preferred.Relevant coaching certifications or golf teaching credentials (e.g., PGA/LPGA or equivalent) are a plus but not required if experience is strong.Ability to work on-site in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area, including evenings and weekends as program schedules require.Commitment to Carolina ForeHER’s mission of inclusion, empowerment, and expanding access to golf for women and girls.
