Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently.
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine knowledge and cocktail options, to enhance guest experience.
Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments securely, and provide clear receipts.
Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure timely service.
Support team members during busy periods by collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests.
Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
Basic math skills for processing payments and managing bills accurately.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Experience in food industry roles such as bussing or host/hostess duties is beneficial.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively hospitality environment.
