Assistant Superintendent

Looking for a hands-on Assistant Superintendent to support a hands-on Superintendent in overseeing the day-to-day turf and grounds operation across the golf course, tennis courts and beach club. In this dynamic role one will have a leadership position and a play a hands-on role in working alongside the crew at times and independently. The ideal person is a strong team player who leads by example and brings a positive attitude and mindset to work daily. About BC Founded in 1900 with a club house on the corner of Sagaponack & Ocean Road The Bridgehampton Club is just a block off main street from the hamlet. The course is lined with specimen trees that create a arboretum like feel to start. The property opens up on the back half with native areas and wide fairways. Tennis is a central part of the club experience and along with the court proper we maintain many annual plantings around the courts. The beach club and the end of Ocean Road features a croquet lawn, along with annual plantings and a broad lawn for events. Key Responsibilities - Assist in planning and executing daily maintenance operations across the 3 core areas - Supervise, schedule, and train grounds crew members; working alongside the team as needed - Operation and Maintenance of Turf Equipment and Irrigation Systems - Assist with fertilization, aerification, mowing and other agronomic programs - Fill in for the Superintendent in their absence as needed - uphold safety standandards and club policies across the maintenance team Next Steps I seek to conduct this process formally but in a relaxed manner, instead of a cover letter please send your resume with a few paragraphs that introduce yourself personally and what you are looking for career wise, this could be a long term position or a stepping stone into the market.
