We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support our culinary team in maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. Position Overview
The Prep Cook plays a key role in kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting the culinary team to ensure timely and consistent food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for service including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces and dressings
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation during service as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, storage areas, and equipment
Properly store and label food items in accordance with food safety standards
Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory
Ensure all food preparation meets health and sanitation regulations
Support the team during busy service periods and special events
Assist with basic cooking tasks when needed
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment at all times
Qualifications & Skills
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30–40 pounds
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
Schedule & Availability
Part-time position
Hours will vary and include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Flexibility required based on business needs and events
