Job DetailsJob Location: Augusta Country Club - Augusta, GA 30904Full Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship with current Members while attending to the day-to-day business needs of the Golf Shop and Golf Club. They will be working closely with the Head Golf Professional(s) in the Golf Shop promoting Tee Time options.Position ResponsibilitiesMaintain and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.Meet and greet clients and visitorsWork to develop comprehensive knowledge of golf in decision-making, handling authority and setting meeting objectivesSkilled and proficient in all Golf training techniquesAssist in implementing an instruction and lesson platform for members and guestsEffectively communicates to guestsSign for and distribute UPS/FedEx/Airborne PackagesAssist in monthly inventory reporting and calculationsManage existing cart fleet and all cart management programsTangible knowledge of POS system (Jonas preferred) and Tee Sheet ManagementOrganization of all Tee Sheet activity for members, outside guests, and Academy Golf studentsCoordination of all outside Golf Tournaments, working with clients to insure smooth transition from start to finishManagement of all outside and inside Golf staffAssist in establishing policies and procedures for outside and inside Golf staffAdhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codesOther duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills and AbilityBachelors degree in accounting, business or related fieldAbility to assist in the organization and planning of eventsExceptional attention to detailsAbility to handle confidential informationHighly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projectsExcellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiencesAbility to multi task in a fast-paced organizationExperience coaching and/or playing golfSkills in training and instructing golfA superior work ethicDesire to work collaboratively with colleaguesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred SkillsMasters degree in Accounting, Business, Sports Management or related fieldExtensive knowledge of Golf OperationsCPR Certification
